Our Campus

LGS offers well-lit, airy, spacious classrooms with age appropriate child friendly furniture. The class decor and the acoustics make learning enjoyable and comfortable.

Every child has their individual lockers to keep their books and belongings. The schoolbag is thus very light as child carries home only the school diary and a text book or two.

Smart Classrooms

In today’s world, when children are technology savvy from a young age, the pedagogy used is by implementing a layered content structure in the technology-enabled classrooms using latest technology allows complete freedom to the teachers to use the technology as per their own choice.

Professionals having years of experience in teaching have developed these teaching modules which present every subject in a manner which makes the teaching-learning process very interesting in the classrooms.

Computer Lab

Keeping in pace with the modern times and realising the importance of Computer Education LGS feels that IT skills have become a necessity owing to the increasing use of computers in our daily life. To achieve this, we have made computer education compulsory from the very beginning. The computer lab is a popular spot to work on projects outside of class. The lab is equipped with current-model, high-end PC computers, high-speed network and storage, an extensive collection of software, printers and other equipment to meet student needs.

Library

The LGS library is one place where students would love to visit and sit to improve upon their knowledge base by way of searching the journals, magazines, periodicals, newspaper or subject related books. The library is well equipped with more than 12000 books very well stacked in open shelves for different subjects. The library also stacks Audio-Video CD’s and cassettes related to subject teaching, environment, literature, dance, music, art, wild life and many more. Comfortable sitting arrangements – chairs, sofa and swingers – are provided in the reading room area.

Auditorium

Dhwani 

 

Auditorium is definitely a pride colossal structure of LVS. It is perhaps the most visited place of the school, Situated opposite to LGS building the auditorium known as ‘Dhwani’ is equipped with the most modern and audio visual facilities and a massive seating capacity of approximately 800. The sound proof auditorium hosts numerous event including lectures, award ceremonies, dramatic plays, musical theatre productions, concert performances of orchestra, band, chorus, dance competitions and interschool competitions.

Hostel

We have a simple but state of the art residential accommodation separate for boys and girls. At each stage the children go through leadership programmes appropriate to their age group. These houses are the centres for service and character building. Each living space for boys and girls is equipped with small facilities for use as clubs for indoor table games, provision for the presence of electronic and print media so as to keep the children informed of the events around the world. There is supervised film viewing. Each club is also being equipped with its own library – leading to activities like book reviews, dialogues, debates, panel discussions for controversial events. A lot of our teaching of learning is based on current events being linked to the mainstream syllabus.

Mess

The institute has well furnished and well maintained dining hall, serving fresh and nutritious food to all. Accommodating 250 students at a time, it provides a comfortable and refreshing meal experience. It provides a variety of food to suit the taste of the students coming from various regions.

Transportation

The school provides air conditioned buses. Pick-up and drop-off points are at major population centres such as Vapi, Daman, Umbergaon and Silvassa. Trained and competent drivers and bus assistants make the school bus conveyance safe and comfortable. All the buses are equipped with first aid boxes and emergency tools.

Health Unit

Our health unit is well equipped 6 bedded medical care unit staffed by a full -time doctor & 3 nurses who monitor the general physical development of our students and provide immediate first-aid treatment if needed. Checkups for dental, eyesight, weight and height management are conducted on regular basis. This benefits in identifying any problem at the very initial stage.

Sports Facilities

For a vigorous beginning of the day, morning PT is compulsory for everyone round the year. During the PT session, the students do their Drill, Aerobics, Sprint, Jogging, Yoga and other fitness activities that make them mentally alert and physically sound.

  • A Sport Complex each for junior & senior students inside the campus with a number of – Volleyball Ground,Basketball Courts, Badminton Courts, Swimming Pool, Gymnasium
  • Vast Ground for – Football, Cricket with six practice nets, Athletic Sports – including a 400 meter track.
