Parent’s Rights
We are committed to the rights of all parents of school pupil:
- To have access to information on the education being provided for their children.
- To be given opportunities to discuss that provision with their children’s teachers.
- To be treated as partners in the educational process.
- To be consulted on any decisions regarding their children’s future learning and on the development and review of the school code of conduct.
Parents' Responsibilities
“At the end of the day, the most overwhelming key to a child’s success is the positive involvement of parents”.
Jane D. Hull. We want to work with parents to ensure that all students are given the opportunity to develop their full potential. Our expectations are that, in order to fulfil their duty to educate their children, parents will:
- Ensure that their children attend school every day.
- Try to avoid taking family holidays during term time.
- Encourage their children to get to school on time.
- Support their children and school staff in complying with the school’s code of conduct.
- Take an active interest in their children’s education, and to support their children by discussing their progress with them.
- Cambridge exams test all four skills: reading, writing, listening and speaking. Help and encourage your child to practice all of these skills while preparing for exams.
- They are also expected to co-operate with the School Authorities by taking an active and helpful interest in the activities of the School.
